Nano Fat Grafting – an Effective Way to Improve Your Appearance
The sun and the aging process can have damaging effects on the appearance of your skin. Fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, discolorations, sagging skin, and a loss of volume are just some of the consequences of losing vital nutrients that were once abundant in your skin. This imbalance can be corrected, however, with one or more of the aesthetic procedures we offer at FacesFirst Cosmetic Surgery. One of these procedures is known as Nano Fat Grafting.
What is Nano Fat Grafting?
Nano fat grafting is a procedure that is also known as micro-fat grafting or Autologous Lipocyte Micronized Injections (ALMI). During this treatment, our physicians will harvest small amounts of fat from another part of your body, such as the buttocks, thighs, or belly. Then this fat is processed. The processed fat is then filtered until it turns into nanoparticles. The fact is, these are tiny fat particles that can easily be accepted by your body. We use these fat particles, called nano fats, to fill in wrinkles and give the skin more volume and radiance.
The Nano Fat Grafting Procedure
An anesthetic will be used to help you feel comfortable during the procedure. The fat will be harvested from the chosen area of the body. Then it is cleaned with our special saline solution and filtered. Then we will inject this solution into areas of your face and neck that need it the most.
Benefits of Nano Fat Grafting
As well as filling in wrinkles and lifting sagging skin, nano fat contains nutrients your skin needs to rejuvenate itself. Collagen and elastin are powerful proteins that our bodies produce in large amounts when we are young. As we age, our bodies produce less of these proteins and nutrients. Signs of aging such as wrinkles and sagging skin begin manifesting. Nano fats contain these nutrients in high amounts, and the skin absorbs them. This leads to more radiantly noticeable skin, along with less noticeable wrinkles and blemishes.
The effects of the procedure are very long-lasting, and the results improve over time as your skin absorbs the fat and the nutrients it contains. This solution is natural since the fat comes from your own body. This means almost no chance of negative side effects, other than slight swelling and redness immediately after the procedure.
What About Dermal Fillers?
If you prefer, we can use injectable dermal fillers to fill in wrinkles and give your skin the fullness you desire. However, dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm have their drawbacks. They don’t contain the stem cells that nano fat fillers do. These stem cells create new cells, giving your skin the ability to rejuvenate over a long period. Plus, these solutions don’t offer results that last as long as nano fat.
