Why a Facelift is More Effective than Face Creams

Why a Facelift is More Effective than Face Creams

As we age, our skin loses elastin and collagen, which can lead to lines and wrinkles on the face, as well as sagging skin. Many individuals may turn to skincare products and creams to help reverse these signs of aging. However, these products can do little to nothing to reverse these types of aging, as they cannot completely reverse the loss of collagen and elastin in the skin. A facelift, however, is a comprehensive solution to help rejuvenate your face for a more youthful look.

What Does a Facelift Involve?

At our office, we offer the full lower facelift, the weekend lift, neck lift, and mid-face cheek lift. This selection of lifts can help to meet the aesthetic goals of many different patients.

The full lower facelift treats the neck, cheeks, jowls, and eyebrow area. It is a comprehensive solution to signs of facial aging and repositions tissues into a more youthful position. For more people, it can take about 10 years off of the appearance.

A weekend facelift, also known as a mini facelift, is designed to treat early laxity in the corner of the mouth and jowl area. It is different from a full facelift in that it does not treat laxity in the neck or the lateral temporal area, but only laxity of the jowl.

A neck lift reduces signs of aging on the neck, including sagging turkey neck and vertical bands, while a mid-face cheek lift focuses on restoring the natural curves and fullness to the lower eyelid and cheek area.

Who Can Benefit From This Procedure?

A facelift is meant to improve many areas of the face in one surgery. If you are tired of living with sagging skin on your midface and/or jawline, smile lines, or facial fat that has fallen or been displaced, you may be able to benefit from a facelift.
